Essa shadowbox nasceu da incrível ilustração de Lady Death criada por Ivan Reis, um artista que acompanho e admiro há muitos anos. O desafio foi transformar uma imagem bidimensional em uma composição de camadas, profundidade e luz, procurando preservar toda a força da arte original sem deixar de imprimir a minha própria linguagem.

Anos atrás eu jamais imaginaria que teria a oportunidade de entregar essa peça ao próprio Ivan. Foi um daqueles momentos que fazem a gente perceber que alguns sonhos não acontecem de uma vez. Eles são construídos, camada por camada.

No fim, talvez seja exatamente disso que a Shadowbox sempre tratou.

De transformar admiração em homenagem.

And then there are those who, one day, end up holding your work in their hands.

This shadowbox was inspired by Ivan Reis’ stunning Lady Death illustration. My goal was to transform a two-dimensional image into layers, depth and light while preserving the power of the original artwork and adding my own artistic language.

Years ago, I never imagined I’d have the chance to hand this piece to Ivan himself. Moments like that remind us that dreams are rarely built overnight.

They’re built one layer at a time.

Maybe that’s what Shadowbox has always been about.
